Evangelical Theological Seminary (ETS) is designed to be an educational center for evangelical theological training in the Czech Republic with a focus to train pastors and students for full-time ministry. The seminary which is located in Prague 9 near Cerny Most, was founded by the Církev Bratrská (CB) Church but serves students from many different evangelical churches. They offer programs in theological training and pastoral care and counseling studies. The program of study is designed to prepare students spiritually, intellectually and in practical ways to fulfill their calling. Tomas Chvojka (Nový život) The mission of Nový život ministry is to help to lead in fulfilling of the Great Commission in the Czech Republic through evangelism and building and encouraging a spiritual movement of discipleship among different groups of people, mostly leaders and in the general population. Current ministries are Coverage, Campus, Athletes in Action and PrimeNet (a ministry to young professionals).  Tomas has been working as with Campus Crusade since 1997 as Coordinator for Coverage Ministry including an internet ministry and currently also serves as Operations Director. Klicek Foundation is designed to improve support, help and care for seriously sick children and their families both in the hospital and at home. They encourage parents in caring for their sick child, empowering their role in hospital caring team by helping  introduce playwork and volunteer work into pediatric hospital wards. They support a philosophy of responsible, thoughtful and considerate attitude towards one’s life and health, as well as to other people and the environment. They serve as liaison and help in establishing partnership between individuals and institutions. KMS Bible Translation Project a new Czech study translation of the Bible into the modern Czech language, is sponsored by the Christian Mission Society (KMS) a body uniting five dozen evangelical churches of different denominations. KMS is a member of the Czech Evangelical Alliance with a mission of ministry towards revival and practical unity. The intention of KMS is to provide a version of the Bible, which is designed to fill a gap and serve as a bridge to salvation and renewal of a nation. This effort is only the second joint Bible translation in the history of the Czech people. The New Testament was published in 1994 and then revised in 2000. Josef Pavliňák (KVZ Studenti pro Krista) is a student movement and ministry headquartered in Brno, which has a vision and commitment to evangelism and discipleship designed to bring the gospel to university students in various campus ministries throughout the Czech Republic and then equip them for life-long service. Centers for student ministries are located throughout the Czech Republic including Hradec Králové, Liberec, Olomouc and Ostrava with plans for additional locations.The KVZ Center (training and resources) serves as a base of their ministry, which uses different forums to appeal to students, offering lectures at the universities and in dormitories, conducting surveys among students, providing various evening programs, organizing witnessing camps and many other opportunities where students encounter God's Word and interact with a Christian world-view. Project Rájská Zahrada is a new Církev Bratrská (CB) church, pastored by Pavel Trefný, which is being established in Prague 9 near Černý Most. Pavel graduated from Charles University and Evangelical Theological Seminary and most recently served as the youth minister at the Církev Bratrská (CB) - Vinohrady congregation. Early stages of planning for this new endeavor include prayer and survey work to determine the needs, developing the leadership team, partnering with other Christians, contacting other local institutions, creating a strategy and beginning appropriate outreach activities including English camps, athletic events and kids clubs. The International Church is committed to partnering with, providing financial support, mentoring as well encouraging active involvement in practical ministry opportunities. Karel and Sue Šustek (BEE International) are primarily involved with teaching and training ministry through BEE International. Karl teaches courses on evangelism and discipleship training and Sue is involved in coordinating and helping to provide training for women leaders serving in the churches throughout the Czech Republic. In addition to developing and translating Bible study materials for use in their training, they also lead monthly English intensives and weekly English classes. Starting in June 2005 they will be in the US for two years while Karel studies at Westminster Seminary, Escondido California.
